I used to use the doughnut on my driver and irons to warm up but it always ended up messing my swing up. I remember reading in a Golf Digest where Tom Watson said the best was to keep your game up during the winter is to swing a heavy club, but never fast, always a controlled speed. I think there may be some value but it looks more like a golf exercise than a training aide and I think there is no type of physical activity that beats the treadmill or the gym.
