I moved from the 510TP to the R7 last June. Immediately I got 5-10 extra metres with the R7 at the range. In my mind the R7 is simply the 510TP head with weights but my 510TP is still the best feeling driver I've ever hit. Whilst the 540 and 580XDs can have a 'tinny' sound.

I find the 510TP gives me a soft yet solid sensation on impact. The 510TP is an excellent driver but the golfer who has tendency to leave the ball out to the right may benefit from a head that's more closed.

I also concur with Victory on the head size. Just make sure you've got the right shaft.
