we've waved lots of bigger hitters through that are obviously going to be faster. we've also been waved through by lots of groups that are out there for the social life. most people are pretty accomadating if you give them a chance.
only twice i've had a problem. a threesome(or foursome?) of older, presumably club memebers, slowed us down for six holes before they let us go. they were wandering around the woods looking for balls while we stood on the tee. they'd look back and then keep on doing it. oh well...
the other one was bad. big hefty(see fat) guy & who i can only guess were his mom and dad were ahead of us. no biggie, except after they were finished a hole they'd hold impromptu putting clinics on the greens. he'd turn his big cigar smokin' head around, look right at us and just shrug. it was brutal. we never did get past them that round. he was a jerk, his parents were just kinda bystanders.
there's the odd jerk out there, but most of us are chasing the same thing when we hit the course.
