I am building a new driver for my wife. She is currently using a Lady Cougar 12*, she has a slow sing and tempo. She hits her driver abou 100 to 140 yards and everyonce in awhile sneaks one close or over 200. The one thing she does do great is hit the ball straight, if I could hit the ball as straight as she does every swing I would be in Nirvana. I am planning on using a Pink Band-O-Matic 401cc at 14*. From everything I have read these are great heads. But I have been really waffling on what shaft to use, the only guideline I have is everything has to be PINK!!!!! I have been looking at the Accuflex EP Pink in the LL flex. Does anyone have any idea how this shaft will match up with the Bang head. I want to do everything possible equipment wise to help her get more distance and so far this combination looks good, but I good be overdoing it and shooting her and myself in the foot. ANy suggestions?

I had a Bang 3 wood made using this same shaft in the LL flex for my wife. Although she could hit it well she was still inconsistent with it. The shaft seemed somewhat whippy to me but I play stiff flex in all my clubs. My wife is now playing with an old Taylormade 3 wood of mine from the garage. It has a stiff flex shaft and is probably as long as her driver. She is absolutely pounding it, almost as far as her driver when teeing off with it and gets about 160+ from the fairway. Now she is eyeing my driver collection. I would suggest taking her to a golf store or range where she can try a few different flexes and see what works best for her.
