My latest golfin' buddy is from S.Africa and he basically said the same things. Craziness goin' on. The way he talked, the place is on the verge of a riot every other day.

He did say most of the courses he played there were very nice, but very expensive to boot.

Re: Anyone ever played golf in Africa?

Played in Central Africa many years ago, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Kenya and Zambia.
On Greens not Browns though.
Funny conversation:-
ME "OK caddie whats the line?"
CADDIE "What time it bwana?"
ME "12 O'Clock"
CADDIE "Straight then"
The grass follows the Sun, so at 7.30 it breaks one way but the same putt goes the other way at 17.30, weird.
