My best friend is a son of missionaries in Africa, and they live in a poor village and help out with schooling and stuff....He went to visit and played some golf when he was there!!
They rake the green before you putt!!! Crazy!!!

They actually have some nice courses there somewhere. I had a buddy a couple of years ago send some pics back from a course in Africa.
Lots of wildlife lurking near by if you get my drift.
I went to Tanzania on a mission trip in 05, and plan on going back in 08, and also maybe to Zambia, but I never considered packing my clubs! Ha! I really don't have time while there, but it would be cool to play golf on another continent.

My uncle in law (is that even a real relation?!?!) or whatever he is was in the diplomatic corps in Kenya...he claimed that they not only had a great climate but some of the best courses he had ever played on...

South Africa has some of the finest golf courses and produces some of the world's finest golfers. Ever hear of Gary Player, Ernie Els, Trevor Immelman?
I learned to play in South Africa, at this course.
Africa is a large continent, with varying degrees of wealth and poverty, amenities and the lack thereof. Any country that has even a small amount of tourism will probably have at least one golf course.
