Golf Rewind Tournament

Has anyone been stupid enough to try to organise a Golf Rewind tournament?

A week in Myrtle Beach in April ,four rounds of stableford, organiser organises the tee times and finds accomodation, everyone else gets their own flights and car hire?

Just asking if it had been done?Certainly not volenteering!

Not until now. Sounds like a great time. Highly unlikely that it would happen, but it still sounds like great fun.

I think Lefty has something here, I would love the chance to get across and play in America, say Florida or Myrtle Beach or somewhere that suited all!
I,m sure it would take a lot of effort but WOW! it would be worth it!

I have been wanting to take a Myrtle Beach golf vacation for a long time. I have never taken a real vacation...just like playing around where I live.

I might be interested at the time...just depends on my work situation, finances, etc.

If it could be done at a time when I was on break here, and cheaply enough, it's something I would give thought to. Either way, it sounds like a pretty good time.

Most of us work on limited budget, due to cost of running family, wife's intolerance to money wasted on golf etc ,so Myrtle Beach would make sense as a location.

Early or late in the year is supposed to be best for Myrtle Beach, so would people prefer November next year?Or during the Ryder Cup in September?League and I would have to sit next to one another for that! Anyone close to SC who can make some arrangements?

No idea, what is the popular choice? If money was no object we could stay at the Lodge, play Pebble Beach,Spyglass,Poppy Hills and the other courses.

I'm suggesting Myrtle Beach because it is designed purely for golfers and gives the best option for cheap good quality courses. If anyone has a better location in USA, I'll go there!

I don't say Hilton Head because it is close to where I live but the ability to get Myrtle Beach pricing at better golf courses...maybe even some private ones (at least one for sure).

One other option is that I could run it easily since that was my job for the previous 4 years (over 250 events per year).

If you are prepared to organise it, you get to choose the location! Is September next year a good time for everyone?

First off, this sounds like a great idea. I think we should first decide on a location. Then once we do that, we can see who might be able to coordinate plans.

It looks like Myrtle Beach has been suggested a lot but jcgolfpro makes a great case for Hilton Head. Are there any other locations people would have in mind? Maybe Las Vegas?
