Nothing really huge, but when I go to make a new thread, I don't get the option to create thread description (normally in the line below the title) for it.....

I like the upgrade except for one thing...I've had to start using Explorer because the new software doesn't like Opera which I normally use...are there any tweaks to make it more Opera/Mozilla-friendly? I suspect there are, as I belong to other boards using this software and have no probs. I can ask some peeps if need be. 'Preciate the effort, victory, and don't be a stranger...you're a mod, too, and we could use your input from time to time.

I will try to add the thread description as soon as possible.

Also, I'm using Firefox right now. If you could detail some of the problems you're experiencing with Opera, maybe I can tweak things. If other vB forums work well with Opera, it's probably one of the tweaks that I've made that is causing the problem. Was it working fine before?

The main problem I'm having is typing in text in the response window...for some reason I have to jack with the scroll bar to input data...it did this before but only with smilies, hyperlinks, etc...that I could handle but now it's just not responding...I'll see what I can find out, too. When I edit a post there's no longer a place to enter a reason for the edit.

Click on "go to advanced" and you'll get the old editor page.

Also, I moved these over here to the "problems" thread.

Maybe it just my network here but I can't get the smilies to pop up.

I spoke with the admin at another board that used vbulletin and had a lot of traffic (3000 at a time sometimes)...he said he ran 2 servers - one for the site with 4 gigs ram and one for MySQL (dunno what that is) with 2 gigs ram...I think he said it takes 2 gigs minimum to run vbulletin and that you can never have enough ram...other than that he said he did nothing special but Opera sure worked a lot better at his site than any other vbulletin board I've belonged to. Does the new version use more memory than the old one? Not a huge deal...I can use IE but it's clunky compared to Opera (or Firefox, I'm sure).

On an unrelated note...can we get the birthdays back up in the right panel? Used to be below "newest member".

May just be me, but the "Pick'em and Fantasy golf", "Team Golf Rewind", and "Support Golf rewind" links in the extras bar aren't working. Getting an "Error! Page not found" message.


Oh and the gallery is only showing random 3 and newest 3 images, none of the categories... again, may just be me.

I got the smilies back....I am a happy man now.....and as you can tell by my excitement over smilies I am a cheap date too.

I'm working on the Gallery right now. Hopefully, I can get it up soon.
