What browser are you using? In both firefox, and internet explorer, I am getting completely logged out. However, I did notice, that since I have both set to remember passwords and usernames, the browser puts them in for me when I go back to the home page. I still need to click on log in, but the info is put in there for me already. This has nothing to do witht he site, but with a browser setting.

Is this what you are experiencing? If so, tell me the browser you are using, and I will tell you how to change the settings.

IE. I click either of the logout links, and I'm still shown as logged in. Simple as that. I don't set any of the computers I use to remember my settings automatically, as none are officially mine, and that is the main problem here. I'm not going to go and reset settings on a machine that isn't mine. Two are office machines, one at my Mom's place, and the other at my Dad's place. It seems like there won't be a solution though.

For a for instance. What is someone to do if they log in here while at an airport while waiting for a flight. The flgith is boarding, they go to logout, and they can't. Now they are stuck logged into some machine in some airport for anyone to access forever. A little extreme, I know, but this is a hypothetical situation that may actually happen.

Sorry then, I can't help you. It is odd though. When I try to log out in IE, a pop up box asks me if I am sure. I click on yes, and I am logged out, so I am not experiencing your problem.

The good news for others is that it seems to only be on the machines you are using, so we are safe at the airport.

Never had a problem logging out myself so it definitely works for some, if not most of us.

I have the same problem and it's starting to drive me mad. I click login with remember me (enables cookies) and it still shows me as logged out on the homepage after the reload. Then, I click user CP and it shows me as logged in. So, to see new posts on the homepage, I have to login, click CP, then go back to the homepage. I also have the same problem with viewing posts sometimes.. I'll be logged in then all of a sudden on a page I'm logged out then I go to reply and I'm logged back in.

In summary, Victory, it might be beneficial to check the cookies settings in the Admin panel. Apparently I'm not the only one with the cookie problem. It's not a setting on my computer either. I'm currently set in IE to accept all cookies, delete my cookies every few nights, and do not experience this on any other message board- including the VB's.

I think the login/logout system has worked for the vast majority of us. The problem is, I would hope that it would work for all of us. The only thing I can attribute this problem to is that cookies sometimes get corrupt over time.

If you are having problems logging in or out, please go here:

http://www.golfrewind.com/mycookies.php?

What you want to do is check all of the boxes and press the "Delete My Cookies" button. It will only delete cookies associated with Golf Rewind. All of your cookies for other sites will remain intact.

Warning: If you have no problems logging in our out, please do not use this script. As they say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
