Posts don't count?

Why don't posts count in the new "Fun and Games" forum? Or do they, and the description is just misleading?

Do they count in the "Sports" forum? If so, then it seems unfair not to count them in another forum in the same section. If not, then I guess that anything non-golf doesn't count as participation on the site, right?

If members are interested in increasing their post counts to achieve higher levels, won't they avoid a forum where their posts won't add to their total? It seems as if "Fun and Games" is being relegated to a slow death as a viable forum with the decision not to count posts.

Agree with you on this valeogut logged on and notice the new format and that my post total had gone down from when I logged off last night. If the post do not count than I may find it hard to post in a thread that does not count hate to be this way but some of the fun of posting is to move to a higher level, hope the forum sees fit to correct this.

Posts do count in the "Sports" forum. They don't in the "Fun & Games" forum. If you're saying most members only post with the intent of raising their post count, then the "Fun & Games" forum won't last long. I don't think this is the case. In time, that forum could very well be the most popular forum here.

A forum owner I converse with runs a forum with over a million posts in dozens of different forums. Over a quarter of them are in a forum like the "Fun & Games" here. He suggested to me that I not count posts in that forum. Due to the nature of the forum, it is really easy to accumulate a bunch of posts in there.

I suspect the forum will be one of the busiest, in terms of post count, soon enough and that we'll see many threads that go 20 pages and more.

Well I can see your point Victory just caught me by a bit of surprise (maybe I should not type and read so early in the morining), in the long run may work out to be the best, besides this is still the best and greatest forum around and I say let's keep it that way.
