Need a coach in Los Angeles

My first post.

I'm a mid 20s dude that has been playing for about 2 1/2 years. I'm pretty much self taught by watching people at the range and getting some good pointers from people I play with. I'm shooting in the high 80s to the low 90s, once in a while with a round in the high 90s, very inconsistent.

When I first started, I was still going to school and had no money to pay for lessons, but now I'm ready to do what's necessary to improve!

Is there anyone from L.A. that can give me a good recommendation on teaching pros around the following course? Griffith Park, Almansar in Alhambra, Arcadia, Monterey Park, Whittier Narrows.

I know a good way to find a teaching pro is to watch the way they teach. Unfortunately I don't have time to do that, so it would be great if someone can give me some recommendations.

-Jay

Teaching Pro at Almansor

There is a gentleman whos name is Pete (dont know his last name) that is a teaching pro at Almansor in Alhambra (the course Im a member at). Its my understanding that he's an up and coming teacher in the So Cal area. Give him a holler.

I play at Almansor quite a bit and Pete is one of the NICEST guy I know. Any idea how good he is as a teacher? I know this Jr. that took lessons from him and ended up switching coach in a couple of months. It might just because the kid wasn't compatible with Pete's teaching method.

Pete's teaching style...

You're right... a really nice guy. Dont know his teaching style but I do see him quite often taking his students off the range and on the course for a lesson. This is bonus with me. I also frequently see him giving free pointers to folks...
