Clublink would work for sure!!! Any of their clubs. Great idea.

Depending on the number of players (if a small group) we could play at Mississaugua G&CC. I'm a member there but we do not permit large group outings.

I'd do it if it were in S. Ont. somewhere. I'm only 4 hours from Toronto.

It looks like I will be in St Catharines at the end of August and up to Labour Day. So, depending on the venue, cost, and dates I might be interested.

There are some decent courses around there which works nicely for the TO/Buffalo connection - I enjoyed Royal Niagara last summer.

That sounds good to me too. Anytime but August 12-20. We should be able to get a couple of 4-somes at least.

I'm coming in (not booked yet though) on the 23rd.

In the St Catharines/Niagara area you have Royal Niagara, Legends on the Niagara, and Whirlpool.

The two courses at Legends are in the top 20 of Canadian public courses and the club hosted an LPGA event in 2004. Green fees max out at $125 Canadian, plus carts. After 2 pm the rate is $75, before 8 am it's $90. Both courses have slopes of 134 from back tees, ratings around 74.5

Whirlpool is an older course but still 7000 yards from the back, 6700 from blues. Meant to be very good but I have not played there. Rates are lower than for Legends (all 3 courses are run by the Niagara Parks Commission). The slope from the back is 126, so perhaps not as difficult as the others in the area.

Royal Niagara hosted the Canadian Skins game a few years ago. I have played two of the nines here and it was a good test - the slope is in the mid-high 130's. Rates are similar to Legends, but are inclusive of mandatory GPS cart.

For me it would still have to fall nicely - I'm coming over with wife and three kids to visit the grandparents so still have priorities, but I WILL be playing golf while over.

BTTT. Another bump.

The whole Niagara Falls area is filled with great courses. I guess the key thing is finding an area where we can attract the most golfers. Folks from Michigan may find Niagara Falls a bit far. Mind you they could talk their spouses into the "Second Honeymoon" angle!!!

I will keep bumping this thread up, as long as the Mods don't mind.

Thanks for the bump. I can now confirm that I will be in St Catharines from 23rd August to 5th September. Those two days are travelling days so obviously out.

I probably won't be able to commit to a date for a while, but it would be good to meet up if possible.

Niagara is only 4.5 hours from me. I wouldn't want to go any farther than that. Something during the week would be my preference. I'd probably drive over & grab a cheap motel room the night before we play. I'll stick this thread when we get a bit closer to summer. We have a lot of stuck threads already in this forum. Keep bumping it every couple of weeks if it slides.
