Vancouver, Canada Recommendation

My wife and I are traveling to Vancouver for a few days and would like to play a course within 40 minutes of Vancouver (Surrey is about as far as I want to go). We are looking for nice views and a decent price. My wife is a relative beginner and I am a 10 handicap. We are hoping for a good value near Vancouver that we would enjoy. Right now, I am leaning towards Peace Portal, but I am open to all suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

In no particular order:

Fraserview
Northview
King's Links

Capilano if you know someone or have reciprocal priviledges

Hazelmere or Northview

Kings links may not be good since your wife may lose a lot of balls.

Not just his wife! The views from there are just too great to pass up. Load up on balls before you go out. They have a big bucket in the pro shop with decent balls for $5 a dozen.

Peace Portal is garbage and is quite far from the city. For good views check out Northlands.
Northland Golf Course | North Vancouver, BC

Other great courses in Vancouver that I recommend are:
University Golf Club University Golf Club
Fraserview Vancouver Park Board - Golf
Redwoods (Worth the drive out to Langley) Redwoods Golf BC Golf Course
Northview Northview Golf & Country Club - Golf

I did not see your message, but luckily found Northlands on my own. That course was fantastic and the views were incredible. My wife enjoyed every minute and sat out some tough holes especially in the back 9. We saw a deer from about 5 feet away. I can't say enough good things about Northlands. It is quite a bargain (at least to me) and is just 15 - 20 minutes outside Vancouver and near Capsilano bridge and the free Lynn Canyon park. I'm sure the other courses are nice as well, but we felt lucky to play Northlands.

Thanks for the advice.
