That's a loaded question. With so many to choose from you have to ask yourself what feels good to you. Some people with large hands really like the Winn grips. Others with smaller hands like the thinline grips like Golfpride New Decade or Golfpride Tour Velvet. Some like wrapped (golfpride tourwrap) others like one piece (golfpride victory). Then you have grip size (thin, regular, mid-size, jumbo.) If you decide to get a thin, mid-size or jumbo it may effect your ball flight. Theory is the small the grip the more draw or hook you will put on the ball and the larger the grip the more the ball will fade or slice the ball. Not everyone falls into that theory so you will have to find that out for yourself. The you have to decide whether you want round or ribbed. A ribbed grip will have a raised edge on the bottom. It helps to have the bend of your fingers fall on the club at the same place every time. Be careful when they are installed. If they are not installed properly it will really effect your allignment. My personal preferance is the Golfpride New Decade (ribbed). This grip is new technology with a hard grip for your left hand and a soft grip for your right. It's the best grip I've ever used. Sorry if that's too much info but there are so many grips to choose from.

Agree with Pistol, you need to see if you can get to a golf shop/clubmaker's shop and check out some demos and see what feels good to your hands. Getting sized will also help you out like he's mentioned.

Such a wide variety of options available these days...

I heard before grip size can affect whether you fade or draw if it's to big or to small for your hands so which makes you do which?

If the grip is too small you are prone to a hook. If the grip is too large you are prone to a slice. Here is an easy way to check if the grip is the right size. Take a normal grip with your left hand (right hand for lefties) your fingers should come around the club and barely touch your palm.
