Oil Can wearing off

I recently bought a HIPPO performance series 56 wedge in that goldish/orange color. just noticed that the color is starting to wear off. Guess thats what I get for paying $20, Is there any way I can stop it from waering any more.

I think they are meant to wear away and rust to provide more spin. Most wedge lines have a version that will do this. Probably no way to stop it. If you want the rust to limited, keep a light coating of mineral oil on the exposed surfaces. Just remember to clean it off before you play.
