U or V grooves and regrooving

I have a set of Dynacraft X16 look alikes and have served me well for 3 years. I play over 130 rounds per year with them. I regrip them every year but should I have them regrooved when I check the loft and lie. What do the pro's do and what type of groove do they use on thier Irons I'm sure it's not the same as what comes from the manufacture as Phil Mickelson once said he regrooves his wedge's and doesn't sand the rough edge off so that he can get more spin on it, he told that to Garcia on a national TV broadcast two years ago. Any answers to this question would be appreaciated. Has anyone done this to thier Irons and has it helped.

Cool

Golfsmith sells a tool for re-grooving your irons. But you do have to be carefull or you could make them too big. Get them too sharp, like Phil does, and you will be spending a lot of money on new golf balls as you will scuff the **** out of them a lot faster than normal. Needless to say, Phil doesnt' worry about buying golf balls, so he doesn't care how fast he goes thru a dozen balls.
