Question New Grips

OK, I have an old set of Wilson K-28 irons I got off of E-bay for ten bucks. I was cosidering a new set, but hit a friends perimeter weighted, cavity backed, blah, blah, blah clubs and wasn't getting any significant distance increases or hitting them any straighter. So I figured I would just re-grip my clubs until I learn a to swing better.

Now here is the hitch, it appears my shafts are .560. I don't have calipers handy, but I measured the diameter and the circumference (and divided by Pi) and got .5625 (18/32) and .5570 respectively so I am pretty sure they are .560. A business aquaintance who is a pretty serious golfer recommended Golf Pride Tour Wraps. I went to a golf shop and liked the feel then went to order online. They only make grips for .580 and .600 shafts .

Should I look for another grip to fit my shafts or can I somehow adapt the bigger grip? Are they any similar grips that come in .560 anyone can reccommend?

Use masking tape to build up the shaft diameter. About 2 layers should do it.

Agree with ForgedRbest, build it up with masking or some duct tape, I don't believe there are any out there at .560 these days.

Duct tape is heavy. Becareful as you may change the swingweight too much with that.

I will say, I saw some .560's on a website this week during my own search for grips. The only problem, I can't really remember which site it was, or if I even have it saved. But the double tape layer idea sounds prime! Good luck
