I have a Taylormade 360 driver that I removed the shaft from and Im ready to assemble with the new shaft but noticed a white plastic / epoxy piece rattling inside the head. It seems too big to come out from the hole in the hozzle and I cant assemble the club until I eliminate the "rattle"... HELP! How do I get this sucker out?
If yo take a hair dryer and heat the bottom of the head until it is quite hot, shake it up for a few seconds and let it cool this will stop the rattle. Most club companies will have a amount of a glue like supstance in the bottom of the heads to catch any loose material in the head. when you heat it up it will melt this substance and it will catch the loose piece of plastic or whatever it is when you allow it to cool it will no longer rattle around in the head.
Probably what is loose is the little round piece which sits in the bottom of the hosel. you probably melted it when you removed the other shaft or pushed it in with the drill bit when you drilled it. Acetone will probably not totally disolve it.

I've heated up a club over a gas stove that had a rattle, you naturally keep the clubhead sufficiently away so that only the sole takes the heat and as rehcuob says shake it a bit to get the loose piece to then settle on the newly heated glue, it will then bond into the rat glue...
By the way, how is this stuff ever called rat glue? Is it because it's the same glue used to get rats? Not intending a joke here? Just asking seriously.
I've use epoxy for over 40 years, and as far as I can tell, Acetone will not dissolve cured epoxy. Even epoxy solvent will not work on cured epoxy. At least that's my experience with working with different types of epoxy for 40 years or so.
