Driver re-shaft question

I've got a Launcher Comp 10.5 driver that I will soon be getting re-shafted and I've received conflicting opinions about whether it's advisable to put a .335 tip diameter shaft in this .350 diameter club head. The only reason that I am considering using a .335 shaft with a shim to fit this head is because there seem to be quite a few more .335 options from places like Golfsmith and Golfworks (the entire Accuflex and Saber line for example). I was hoping some of you who've built a bunch of clubs might chime in.

If I'm persuaded to stick with the .350 I've pretty much narrowed my choices down to Fuji TP 26.3 stiff, NVS65 stiff, Penlet Tour Light stiff or a Graffalloy Blue regular. If anyone has any definitive thoughts on one of these over the other three I'd greatly appreciate your thoughts.

TIA

.335 shimmed to a .350 isn't a problem at all. Are your concerns about doing it right or if it causes a performance issue? A properly shimmed shaft will not have any performance issues and you shouldn't notice a thing.

I'm strictly worried about performance and durability because I won't be doing the re-shafting myself. Is it not easy for a reputable club builder to properly install a shimmed shaft?

If they know what they're doing you'll be good to go...do you have a trusted one to go to?

Actually the guy I had planned on using is one of the ones who told me not to use a .335, he's the head club builder at a nearby Golfsmith Superstore. Of course a tech support guy at Golfsmith in Texas told me that I shouldn't have a problem. I think I'll do a little research locally before I have someone install a .335 if I decide to go with that diameter.

He "should" know better, perhaps he has some .350's that he needs to get rid of doesn't know how to do it well, weak response on his part, it's done all the time by my clubmaker and no issues from him! Good luck and nice chatting with you.
