Spline finder
After using SST Pured shafts in all my woods for the past year, I've decided to see if I can do the Spline alignment stuff myself, and save a lot of money over the long haul. I really like the results I've been getting with SST Pured shafts, but have them Pure a set of irons is a bit expensive. A few weeks ago there was a link here about spline alignment and how to build a spline finder. I've got the finder built, and tried it out. I have 3 SST Pured shafts on hand to use as a gauge, but I'm not having much luck coming up with the same shaft alignment as what the SST Pure sticker is showing. I can get the same alignment with one of the shafts, but not with the other two. It's a matter of "feel", and I seem to be missing something in the "feel" part of the job. Do any of you on this site, have any experience with using a spline finder? What exactly am I supposed to be trying to find by feel? Any help in this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

OnePutt,
There is alot of technical information that can be found at John Kaufman's Site, Three Links are:
http://www.csfa.com/techframe.htm
http://www.csfa.com/techframe.htm
http://www.csfa.com/techframe.htm
I also have set up my old Custom Club Company (Custom Golf Sales) with the ability to do this with a more sophisticated sytem, and have the ability to print a copy of the Polar Plot, once the shaft is tested, so if you need any help, let me know.
Best of Luck, Take Care

Thanks for the three links. Only problem is all 3 take me to the same place. Did you accidently post the same link 3 times? After I have time to read all the stuff at the site, I'll let you know what I find. Thanks again for the link.

Sorry, there are three seperate links, however I guess they are in a frames environment, look to the left for information "subject" about Spine Aligning.
Best of Luck
