You'd be surprised at how the "detective" knows. <wink>
Just send the darn thing back. You're SURE to get a new one for sure!!!!
You'd be surprised at the condition of clubs that go back to Callaway, and they try to bend over backwards to believe that the club just 'fell apart' once they were hit.

How do they stay in the black if they always give NEW ones out for ones returned?

Clubs are cheap (to them) and a happy customer is a repeat customer. A customer gets a good deal or good service from Callaway and he'll tell a few of his closest friends. If he gets bad service or feels he got shafted (pun intended ) he'll tell everyone that will listen. It's just good business to keep a customer happy.

From what I have seen with Callaway Warrenty, even old clubs that start to rattle are fixed no charge as long as there is no sign of mis-use.

That's a pretty strong selling point to me...although I've never been able to find a Callaway driver that worked out for me...same with Taylor Made, and I've tried oodles of them.

If you take your club to a reputable repair shop that sells Callaway equip. they should handle the warranty for you. it should only cost you shipping and the shop will take care of the rest.
The rattle may not be epoxy ....it could be slag from where the head was welded together in this case rattle stop might not work well. Best bet is to let Callaway fix it

I've always had better results by dealing directly with Callaway. I'm sure a reputable repair shop will handle it but why not just cut out the middle man and deal direct? Less can go wrong and it speeds the process.

If only I could hit Callaway woods...

Seriously I've never hit a Callaway driver or FW that I liked. My 3-wood is the only exception. And I've gotta get that re-shafted (hopefully with a brand new free Accuflex shaft... *crosses fingers*)

Correct!

I've seen one returned that had tire marks over it. (wonder how THAT got broke). Customer swore it broke in half while putting. Honest.

Callaway golf customer service is second to none. Just call them and let them know the situation and they'll send you a ups label to send it back to them. I live close the company headquarters, and i've always dropped the clubs off to them. I usually have the club back in 3 days, 5 if they are nice and refinish the head for me. I always get a present from them too, sometimes a hat and a few times a dozen tour balls. If they give you a hard time, i'll email you the contact I go through. Use the option to email me though, I always forget to respond on the forums.

League, so what do they do to fix rattles at Callaway....I'd like to know how they resolve the issue.
They probably just turn on the burner and slowly hover the bottom of the clubhead over the flame, NOT TOO CLOSE NOW...to cause a burn of the sole, heat up the rat glue inside the head until the epoxy that has come loose attaches to the heated up rat glue and then solidify taking care of the rattle.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Yeah I would send it back to them and let them fix it right for ya. They do have the best customer service out there, may as well use them.
Good luck!
