Ferrule coming off fairway wood...

I have a Nicklaus Airmax 4 wood (cheap off ebay) and the ferrule is starting to go up the shaft. I've heard that it's just for cosmetics, but I want to make sure that my clubhead doesn't go flying off. I might be able to fix it with some epoxy but if it's just for cosmetics the fit is tight enough that it will stay towards the bottom of the club for a while. Thanks.

I once had a set of Off-Beat irons that 1/2 of them did that a couple of drops of epoxey took care of it.
