Sonartec tip size

I took a Sonartec NP99 out today for the first time and it will be the last time till I can get another shaft in it. I presume the tip is .335 ?

I've not heard of any Sonartec's having .350 tips, so I'd say it's safe to say it's a .335 tip. I'd bet dollars to donuts on that one.

Did you have the stock shaft by Penley? I have a S flex in my 19* 5 wood and it VERY STIFF. Stiffer than my 757 S-flex by far. I was very suprised.

I think the NP99's have the iRods in them the SS-xx series had stock Penley shafts which I agree are better than most IMO.

It has an NV-65R. But a frequency check and deflection board both show it as a perfect stiff. My driver has an NV-65S and it and the NP99 feel alike to waggle and swing and both check out the same. The prob is the 3wood is the only club in the bag I can't fade but the face sets up square to a hair open.

Got it straight from Sonartec...

Thanks for your support by playing Sonartec. The tip diameter of the NP-99 is 0.335" and it is a blind bore which is a bore depth of 1.5"
We are currently working on new spec sheets for our products.

Let me know if you have anymore questions and Happy New Year,
Matt

Sonartecs are awesome! I decided to give them a try when I saw Vijay had been using one and saw them in an edwin watts catalog. I love my NP-99 for the very reason I can't fade it. Even on swings I don't get completely through with my right side the ball just starts off a little right but then holds its line and goes straight instead of continuing right or fading/slicing. It takes the right side of the course out of play for me. It's easy to hit and very long. Awesome clubs.
