Have any of you tried the new water activated tape. I use it and it seems to work just fine.

Yep, I just regripped two sets of clubs using water activated tape. I like it because there's minimal cleanup and no solvents to buy, resave or get rid of. I added a couple drops of dishwashing liquid to about a cup of water and put it in a spray bottle. If the grip didn't slide on easily the first try I backed it off and sprayed the tape wet again. Then, the grip slid on easily every time.

Hi. I just regripped my first shaft using double-sided Sellotape and petrol as the solvent. It seemed to go OK but I do wonder how you experts cope with the excess glue that seems to ooze from the grip as you push the grip on. I cleaned up with more petrol but probably there is an art to handling the surplus glue. Any ideas? Thanks..

Be careful when using water based solvent. There are some grips that specifically state not to use it. Winn has some like that. I got a list from Golfsmith a while ago but decided to stay with solvent so I wouldn't have to worry about it.

I like Bramptons alot. Non-toxic, no odor at all. Takes a little longer to 'dry' but the upside is you need very little...just a squirt or two

I use the grip solvent from GolfWorks. It works fine so I see no need to try anything else.
