I need to regrip a set of ping eye 2s and had a few questions. Is the core size for these clubs(zz lite shafts) .600?
I have also been to 2 different clubmakers who said I needed midsize grips, but the Ping static fitting page said I needed standard grips. My question is this: Are Ping standard grips slightly oversized to begin with?
One last question--Is a .580 standard grip going to be the same size as a .600 standard grip if each is installed on the proper size shaft? (I hope that makes sense).

Grip size is all about comfort and nobody can tell you what feels right. If you own calipers (dial or digital) measure a grip of a club where the grip size feels perfect. This is done by measuring the oustide diameter of the grip exactly 2" down from the grip cap. If you reading is 0.900", then it is considered standard size. Anything over that is considered oversized. Calipers can also be used to measure the butt size on the ping shafts. A 58 grip on a 0.58" shaft will be the same size as 0.6" grip on a 0.6" shaft. A 0.58" grip place on a 0.6" shaft with a piece of tape will be about 1/60" oversized
