Re-grooving irons; what grooves do i have?

Hi guys...
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how i can tell what type of grooves i have on my irons? I have a set of older Titleist DCI's and i'm thinking of buying a set of vokeys this summer. Is there anyway to tell what type of grooves you have just by looking?

Also does the vokey spin milled wedge have a different type then the other vokeys?

Thanks

Pete

Most likely you have a "u" groove in those irons. I really don't know if there is a way by just looking at it. maybe under a magnifying glass you can see it. But "u" grooves and square grooves are very similar. Most of you really old clubs (mid80's and earlier) are "v" groove. Golfsmith sells a tool that is very easy to use if you just want to buy the club or clubs and re-groove them yourself. all you need is a vise and a rubber pad to hold the shaft.

Would the re grooving tool from golfsmith work on "u" grooves?
I beleive my irons are from early 2000's, around 2002.
Thanks
Pete

I want to say yes. on the wheel I have for my tool that was purchased about 4 years ago I have an assortment of groovers. Tha best thing I can suggest is call Golfsmith, they are very nice people there in Texas.
