reshafting question

I bought a Aldila NV Pink 55-S Tip .335 shaft and want to put it in either a Titleist 905t or a Mactec driver. I would like to know if the shaft will fit in either of these drivers. Also, i remember that the 905 says that for some reason you're supposed to send it in to titleist to be reshafted...can a store like golfsmith do it instead?

I'm not positive but it should fit. In the golfsmith catalog it doesn't say that it doesn't fit the 905t or Mactec clubhead from what I see. I've been looking into getting that shaft for my R580XD. Also, I'm sure golfsmith can reshaft the 905 even though it says to send it to Titleist. They specialize in making clubs. Why wouldn't they.

Unless I'm wrong, the Titleist uses a .350 shaft, and is a bore-thru head. I don't know that you can shim up a bore-thru model. Maybe you can, but be aware. As for sending your driver to Titleist to be reshafted, having someone else do it will probably void your warranty.
If MacGregor hasn't changed since the Eye-O-Matic, their woods use a .335 shaft.
The R580XD uses a .350 shaft.
