Installing an over the hosel putter shaft

I have built a few putters but now I am looking into installing an over the hosel putter shaft. I've looked into a few supply catalogs that I have and none of them list over the hosel type shafts, but do have over the hosel putter heads. I cant seem to find a listing for an over the hosel shaft. Is there such a thing or do regular shafts fit over the hosel? The ones I have do not fit over it. I have seen flared tip shafts, are these the ones needed for over the hosel installation?

In Golfsmiths 2005 catalogue on page 196 stock #273 is a chrome plated "over hosel" style putter shaft. It sold for $6.95 then. I am sure if you phoned them they will have it in stock. Their phone # is 800-456-3344

In most cases, the normal straight putter shaft will fit.

A .370 shaft should fit. Otherwise a .350 shaft cut off at one of the steps should fit. OR sand the hosel "peg" to fit your shaft.
