Exclamation 690.mb irons shaft size

Does anyone know what the shaft size is for the titleist 690.mb irons? I think they are a 355 taper tip but I'm quite sure and I want to order some project x shafts to replace the dg 300's.

You are correct... I went to the Titleist website and emailed them to confim the same question about my 690 CB's. They responded within a day or two.

The 690mb's do have a taper tip, I called titleist directly. Finding taper tip might be tough, I called several golf component stores and all of them seem to be out of taper tip. My question is can I buy parallel and then drill the heads out.

Yes, you can. But I wouldn't try it unless you have a drill press and a good vice or jig to hold the heads.

You can order the taper tips through Golfworks or Golfsmith.

Definitely order the correct shafts, don't try to drill the hosels. A decent set of 690.mbs go for around $400 on ebay, but if you were to disclose that you'd drilled the heads to receive .370 parrallel shafts, I bet you wouldn't get any buyers at all. Besides, the clubs will perform better if the correct shaft is installed.

690.mb irons

I had my swing speed check with a 6 iron, and it was 95mph. I don't know if I should go with the 6.0 , 5.5 , or the 6.5 project x shafts. Right now I have the s 300's. Can anyone help me with selecting which shaft would be best.

thanks Mark

The 6.0 is pretty close to the DG S300.

690.mb irons

I'm looking for a more penetrating ball flight. With the s300 shafts I get alot of air.
