Question Knock-off shafts??

I just got some ' royal precision rifle' shafts off e-bay but they don;t look authentic to me Ive heard of knock off heads before but not shafts or am I just paranoid.
Don't like the look of the stickers much, will try and scan em over the weekend and post 'em up.
They are black and gold and just have precision golf and made in the USA on them. Last time I saw one of these shafts they where marked royal precision and had Rifle marked on there too.

Are the shafts "rifled' in the inside, if so, you are probably OK, if not, Houston we have a problem.

I think he probably purchase the 'blanks', or at one time were the blanks and the seller has tipped them to Precisions recommendations. I prefer to buy the blanks in bulk so they can be weight sorted into matching sets. If you only buy 8 and they don't have the 'rifle' label, theres a good chance the weights are all over the place. This is something to ask the seller. I have the pre-cut weights anywhere from 121 grams to 158 grams in a batch, which is why some of them didn't make the 'cut'

dont look rifled to me, just rusty in fact. (Light powdery surface rust, nothing to worry about, Ill get my pop's rifle brushes down there before I fit 'em)
these are the labels

they must be fairly old stock whatever they are. Surface rust down the inside of the shaft and discoloration to the chrome in places. These are combination R and S shafts, tip trimming determins the final stiffness.
The price I ended up paying was fair but I would really like to know if these are worth building a semi decent set with.
Incidentally after Ive cleaned 'em up was thinking of spraying some wax-oil, red-oxide or kurust down there, good idea or bad ???

Cool

If they are R/S flex, then you know they are old, as all the rifle shafts I've seen in the last few years use a number system for flex, not letters. As for the rust, just pour some WD40 down the shafts and let it drain completely out before you use the shafts. That should prevent any more rusting inside. Either way, it's not a problem to worry about.
