i have jb's , which was purchased off ebay and is by far the best one out there. it may cost a little more than the others but it's much better built
and very convenient for putting into a vise.
mikey300, Did you notice a big difference from where the factory decal is aplied on the graphite shafts to where the "correct" position was supposed to be? Is this the same as PUREing? Have you hit clubs that you repositioned that you felt made a big difference? Thanks Bob
According to JB, he had found that for the majority of 'pured' shafts had the spine S1, or rigid plane to target. This is contrary to most guys who use the spinefinder and align NBP, softplane, to target. For irons, aligning the shafts all the same will add consistency to the set as frequency will show you that, depending on orientation and the shaft, the same shaft can play as much as a full flex different. Its a simple process so every club I build has NBP to target.
very nice! very well said agoodwalkspoiledagain! that's what i do also.
sorry i didn't get back to you sooner govikesgo, i'm mainly on the computer on the weekdays and very rarely on weekends(nice thing about florida). the decals will be any which way and you really won't notice that much in irons (a pro might), but you sure can in graphite. had a titleist 980f 4 wood that wouldn't stop drawing (hard draw) and after spine aligning it later, the draw went straight.
agoodwalkspoiledagain, how do you like your durometer wedge? just purchased a 59* last week. works fantastic.

Who has the best spine alignment tool and where would I get one? What should I expect to pay. Thanks
JB has an excellent Spine Finder, The differance between his and other PVC ones is that the PVC versions under pressure from the vice that hold the unit slowly crushes the PVC. JB's is metal.
Spinefinders are pretty simple to make, you can pickup 3 bearings from a surplus store for about a $1.00 apiece and buy the PVC form Home Depot for cheap. I made my own for less than $5.00 and thats with 6 feet of PVC which over time I just cut another length of what I need when the PVC wears down. If any one needs dimensions to put it together, just reply to this thread.
There is a Spinefinder that has just been released, it's electronic and also includes built-in frequency machine, intro pricing is less than $100.00, trying to get my hands on one.
Well since I started this post, I might as well update it. I bought both the spine tool $39.99 and the shaft puller at $125. Both work great. Unfortunately my Wilson Fat Shafts don't fir the puller, but JB's working on that. I would recomend both products highly.
