Upgrading shaft
I have a Sonartec 17* hybrid and want to upgrade from the irod shaft. Does anyone have any suggestions?

the hybrids have a limited suppy of upgrades but there are a couple, at least in price anyways. aldila has two, the nv and the nvs. the characteristics are somewhat similar (medium to low bend point, med. tip), but the nv is stiffer in comparison than the nvs. graffaloy may have one, along with graphite design. there are others, but most are in the 30 to 40 dollar range as the irod. the main difference that you may see in the other shafts are a higher ball flight. the irod has a higher bend point and firmer tip (lower ball flight)than most of the others, so it mainly comes down to what you are looking for and if it's worth the price. mike

I ordered my Heavenwood with the NV 85 Hybrid shaft and find it very consistant. Medium ball flight with no balooning. I recommend it over the stock Cally shaft.
