Aldila 65 Regular shaft

I just purchased a new shaft, it is standard 46 inches. My question is if I cut it down to 42.5 inches for my Nike Ignite 4 wood will it still be the right specifications for that club?

yes, but according to the trim code, you are to trim one inch off from the tip first, then cut the butt end to the finish lenght. tipping the shaft more will make the shaft firmer while tipping less will make it wippier. comes down to preference. mike

Shouldn't he tip trim the shaft 1 1/2" for a 4 wood? 0 for driver and then 1/2" for each successive wood?
