Length question

If I want to achieve a 45" overall driver length with a R5 head, what length should the shaft be? 43 1/2"?

I am not sure what the BBGM of the R5 is right off hand but I would assume that its very close to 1.5". May want to give a call to Taylormade and ask them.

Thanks Christian...just trying to get an idea while at work. I'll just have to slit a grip and throw it on the measure.

On a side note, what frequency should I be putting that shaft to? It was registering 256-257, and tipped 1/2", it ran 260-262 spined. I'm swinging around 108-110...got it down from 115+ for a smoother tempo. I don't want to get the shaft too stiff where proper loading will be a problem, but then again, I don't want the shaft to play too loose when I need to crank one. 260 should play ok, no?

Butt frequency can not tell you much about a shaft except how the butt will hold up during a swing. This will not explain to you the tip characteristics... so with that being said you should be fine with a 262 Freq at 45" which is virtually around a firm S-Flex and would work ok for your swing. Depending on the shaft, your tempo, and your swing characteristics you may need alittle more stiffness.
