Reshafting question - weight issues

Thinking about reshafting my TM Rescue Dual. It currently has the stock TM steel shaft, and I'm considering putting in the Accuflex Icon HL. I was wondering, do they (as in Taylor Made) weight the heads differently when they make a steel shafted club as opposed to a graphite one? The TM website lists the swing-weights as being the same for the steel shated one as it is for the graphite, but obviously the steel shaft is significantly heavier, so I'm thinking the head must be lighter. Am I right or wrong? Would a straight swap to a graphite shaft work out OK or would I need to alter the head weight?

You will probably need to add weight to the head. You can do this by adding a shaft tip weight first. Do not try and add lead or lead powder to a graphite shaft as it will lead to shaft failure! The rest of the swingweight difference can be mad up with lead tape.

you can buy aftermarket wieght cartriges on ebay that are heavier than the stock( get the tungsten). try it first as a lighter club to see what kind of performance you get.

I probably wouldn't need lead tape, as I have a Rescue Dual, so I guess I could just buy extra weights. I may be better off to just sell the steel shafted one and put the NZ$100 it'd cost me for a new shaft towards a new graphite shafted Rescue Dual.
