Golf Pride Whisper vs Winn Excel

I was planning to replace the grips on my irons from Winn Excels to Golf Pride Tour Wraps, but after playing yesterday, I realized how much I really like the soft feel of the Winns. I still need a more durable solution though, because I'm having to replace the Winn's pretty often.

Anyone have experience with GP Whispers and how they compare with the Excels? Just as soft and tacky? More durable? And if there are other options besides these two, especially more durable, longer-lasting ones than the Excels, I'm interested in those too. Thanks!
