I went to the range earlier and hit about 15 balls with the driver, about 3 hours later I go to the course and I hit my first tee shot, after that I hear this rattle in the club head. So now something is loose in the driver. It didn't seem to change anything so far that I know of. But I know it can't be good that something like that is going on. Especially with the long drive contest may 12'th I am going too coming up.
Would callaway replace this thing for something like that, or is it too minor. Also anyone have experience with stuff like this, and what does it effect as far as performance.
it could be anything fron epoxy, plug, or a piece of weld. it won't effect performance, but will be more annoying. to get it out, the shaft would have to pulled. many of the club heads have a hole at the bottom of the hosel with a plug stuck in it.
I guess thats possible, but I have had it since fall of 2003, so if too much was used, wouldn't that happen soon after I got it and not 3 years later ?

Could be the drive weight... yes get them to replace the club. Go back to where you got it.
I got it through a college purchase program, direct from callaway. I am no longer at that school anymore so I will have to call customer service I would say to see if it needs replaced. I believe I will wait till after may 12th (long drive contest) and hope the head don't break off by then.
the head is not going to break off. if it is a weight, it will sound quite loud, moer like a ball bearing, where as epoxy will sound like a piece of plastiic and have a softer ting to it.
Right, and to pull and shaft, clean it out and re-epoxy is not too big a job for any repair shop. Shouldn't be more than $10-$15, the price of a new glove.
It just felt weird when I hit it last time; still same distance's but just felt different, it is hard to describe haha. As long as its just an annoyance I won't bother with it.
It is loud enough that I can hear it when I am walking down the fairways.
Hopefully I win that long drive contest, and win the cobra X-speed.
in that case, i'd say you have a wieght that came off. it won't hurt anything, titanum is tough, (took mean 1/2hour to drill through it) just annoying.
