Club Head Dents

My friends driver has a huge dent on the top of it.. anyone know if this effects any of the shot direction.. i mean he used 2 hit it straight and now he has sort of a fade.. and the dent is on the right side 2.. so does anyone know this?

It may have made the face slightly open, causing a fade.

If nothing else it would change the look at setup making it more difficult to line up the shot.

If the dent effected the face or bulg more then .25* open which is still closed for most standard drivers then you would definitely notice it. Point being is the change would be unnoticable "if" it possibly happened so I would bet more on the fact that your friends swing has changed causing a slight draw.

The other thing a dent can cause is a slight decrease in energy transfer and it would be very small as well.

I would get a new one too.

The one & only time I played Pebble Beach, went out and got a caddy. This guy was carrying my back and he wouldn't use the head cover on my driver. We'll needles to say while pulling out one of my irons he put a small scratch on my driver. Every time I went to tee off all I would see was that little scratch.........drove me crazy.
