Extending hybrid - affect swing weight?

I've got a Nickent hybrid club - I would like to extend the shaft 1/2" or maybe 1". Would extending the shaft affect the swing weight in any noticeable way? Thanks -

It actually depends on how you intend to lengthen the shaft. If you are installing a longer shaft then swingweight wouldnt change much but if you are adding a shaft extender, then you have to account for the weight of the extender itself. You might have to counter balance the shaft by adding weight at both ends.
