Take some lacquer thinner, and load up some cotton swabs to clean out the existing paintfill.

Go out to the store and buy Testor's Enamel in whichever colors you'd like.

Load up a brush, and fill in the engravings. It doesn't have to be precise. You can have paint overflow because that'll get cleaned up later on, just make sure to cake it in the engravings.

Then, give it some time to dry, I usually wait overnight. Then take the same lacquer thinner, and apply it to a papertowel. Dab it to rid of excess because you don't want it to seap into the crevices of the engravings and cause that to run. Now, lightly rub away at the surface that has the paint. This way, the overflow will be removed but the painted engravings will remain.

Here is one without the paint fill...and then filled to the request of the buyer.
