Repair scratch in graphite

Hi All,
I was changing a grip on my driver with a prolaunch shaft and put a small scratch in the shaft with the exacto. I've changed about a hundred shafts and this was my first mistake. The scratch is less than 1/32 deep and about 1/2 inch long. Any idea if I can fill it in for extra strength?
Thanks,
Dennis

use some epoxy, but fill the scratch only. the scratch isn't in a place where it flexes anyhow. i've scratched my share of graghite (as much as i hate to admit it) and have never had a problem and i never filled them. you would have to slice all the way thru for the shaft to fail.
