Driver Face Angle 1.5*

Purchased a Srixon w-506 driver was reading the Spec Sheet and it states the driver facangelwas + 1.5 degrees. Is that open or closed? I have a Mizuno driver speced the same hit a draw with it , hit a cut with the Srixon. Cheers

the face angle would have to be closed. only special ordered clubs would be open, if possible. if you hitting a cut, odds are it's the shaft.

I'm not sure how Srixon designates their FA's, but I'm a distributor for SMT and they use (+) face angles for ones that are open. So a -1* would be a FA of 1* closed. Just so you know

Yep, that would make the most sense. It used to be that all the faces were open...thats before they were grapefruit on a stick. I think open face drivers are now a special order...and rightfully so.

you could do like mickelson does and take two drivers with you, one when you need a draw and the other when you need a cut.
