If the club is forged carbon steel you can go as much as 4 degrees and not damage it. If it is a cast club, and something other then a Ping, I wouldn't bend it more then 2 degrees. Be mindful though, for every degree you increase in loft, you will be increasing bounce by the same. It could make the club very difficult to hit from a tight lie.

That's correct, and if you decrease loft you decrease bounce by the same amount.

hmm
since i am a steeper/digger (though i wish to be a sweeper that picks up clean, just shaving off the grass) now that maybe good. I luv my 56*-12* sand wedge for all partial wedge shots from FW or roughs and I avoid my 60*-6* lob wedge like a plague (digs way under da ball or I thin it for 60~80 yards, way over the green)

I'm planning on +3* for PW, +2* for short and +1* for long irons. Don't ask why..i've already got this plan stuck in my head (to have nearly the same lofts as of my old 670s)

does anyone have Bounce* specs for MacGregor 1025C Forged? Starting to really like my 1025Cs.
where can i find a 1025C 2-iron: new or used?

Check their website. If they don't have it listed they will have a contact link where you can email the question. However, your best bet is to take your set to a club shop and have them checked on a loft/lie machine, then you will know exactly where your set is in respect to loft, lie, and bounce.

I couldn't find bounce specs for the Mac 1025, but for comparison sake here are the specs for the Mizuno Mp 30 with bounce followed by what I could find on the 1025s. I know this is apples and oranges but I thought it might give you something to start with.

Iron Model Loft Lie Length Bounce
2 Iron Mizuno MP 30 18° 57.5° 39.25" 3°
3 iron Mizuno MP 30 21° 58.0° 38.75" 3°
4 iron Mizuno MP 30 24° 58.5° 38.25" 3°
5 iron Mizuno MP 30 27° 59.0° 37.75" 4°
6 iron Mizuno MP 30 31° 60.0° 37.25" 4°
7 iron Mizuno MP 30 35° 61.0° 36.75" 4°
8 iron Mizuno MP 30 39° 62.0° 36.25" 5°
9 iron Mizuno MP 30 43° 62.5° 35.75" 6°
PW Mizuno MP 30 47° 63.0° 35.25" 7°

2 Iron Mac 1025C 18° 59.5° 39.25"
3 iron Mac 1025C 21° 60.0° 38.75"
4 iron Mac 1025C 24° 61° 38.25"
5 iron Mac 1025C 27° 61.5° 37.75"
6 iron Mac 1025C 30° 62.0° 37.25"
7 iron Mac 1025C 33.5° 62.5° 36.75"
8 iron Mac 1025C 37° 63.0° 36.25"
9 iron Mac 1025C 41° 63.5° 35.75"
PW Mac 1025C 45° 64.0° 35.25"

Thank you

I've gotten the Bounce angle by calling MacGregor Customer Service -- good service:

3I: 1
4I: 1
5I: 2
6I: 2.5
7I: 3
8I: 4
9I: 5
PW: 6

Since Loft and Bounce relate 1:1 and more than 2* loft changes may, however slight, harm the chrome, I'll limit my loft changes to 2*...

lob wedge lofts

i may, later when i break 90, start using a 58* lob with high bounce (10*~12*), but then i'll want a 54* sand wedge, high bounce

two wedge's plenty for now. three, when and if i know what to do with all of them. four wedges sounds crazy confusing to me, but what ever works: in golf, the "ends" (good score) really do justy the means (having fun with a good swing).

when in doubt and I can not reach my teaching pro Nik then i read over what late Harvey Penick or Jack Nickelson wrote. Harvey likes it simple...

My next club will be a steel 975F 42.5"...but dunno to go with 12.5* or 13.5* and Stiff or Regular flex...to replace my driver that can also pinch for a long FW shot. All I know is having a 975F 20.5* has dropped my Index by at least 10+. (nothing wrong with my 980F 15*...just getting curious, that's all)

If you don't damage the chrome, you will want to check these lofts every couple weeks. Chrome is a hardcase around the soft metal, and chrome has a memory once hardened, and will want to return to it's original place.

i usually only keep my pitching, sand and extreme lob in the bag.. the gap only comes out with certain conditions like a shorter course.. same with my 5 wood.. i usually will put the 2 iron in instead.. but when im out with the guys i take everything, when competing though its as i say
