Reshafting a driver

OK, I've built my own irons but I've never messed with woods. A little scared of graphite shafts. But, I want to reshaft my driver. How do you determine whether to do it Blind bore or Standard? Once you do, how do you know how far to insert the shaft into the head? Maybe I'm getting in over my head. Help please. Bt the way, it is a TM R5 Dual D. At least I know it's not a through bore head.

the shaft will go into the head about an inch and 3/4. heat with a heat gun only. once the shaft is out, clean out the hosel and insert the new shaft all the way in until it stops.
