PING I5 Tuning Port - Swingweight?

I recently purchased a set of Ping I5 irons. I love the irons however I cant get used to the D0 swingweight and would like to increase the swingweight to D3

I have owned these irons 2 weeks, so I contacted Ping and they quoted me 13.75 + my local sales tax + 14.00 for return shipping to increase the swingweight. This seems high, and I realize I should have custom ordered.

Anyway, does anyone know how you can remove the custom turning port cover without damaging the club, and install weights in the port then reapply the tuning port cover.

I realize this could void any warranty but after the service Ping quoted me I figure a warranty is worth nothing anyway.

Thanks for any replies

Mike

Not sure how to properly remove the CTP's but I'd put some lead tape in the cavity before I'd send them to Ping or mess them up myself. JMO, Simp

13.75 per club

I meant to say 13.75 per club, + tax + 14.00 for return shipping from them to me, as well I would be paying to ship them to Ping.

Are you interested in trading the i5s for RAC LT2s?
