f2 wedge patent?

how is the face forward technology patented by f2? i have an alien sandwedge and it has the same design... and was made a couple of years ago.

Maybe the Alien Company didnt patent that design

it says patent pending on the club. and i thought once something was established (you cant patent the idea of an automobile), then you cant patent it.

If the F2 has the patent number you can search for it here: http://www.uspto.gov/patft/index.html and see the patent.
