Did I pick the correct shafts?

I just ordered a new set of irons with the RP tour flighted 6.0 rifle shafts. I currently play with a set of TT S300's. The heads on my former shafts are King Cobra II Tour model.

Here are a few of my swing characteristics.
My swing speed is 83-87 mph with my 5 iron. With a quick tempo.
I have no problem getting the ball up in the air. Actually, I have a problem trying to keep the ball low, when it is windy. When I try to keep the ball lower, it tends to go even higher.
I tend to pull the ball more often than I push it.

I ordered the rifle 6.0's because, with my tendency to hit the ball very high and my quick tempo, I thought I may be playing to flexible of a shaft with the s300's. However, with my tendency to pull the ball more often than push it, I wonder if maybe my current shafts may be a bit to stiff. I think I still have time to change my order to the 5.5's, but I would like to see what you guys recommend.
Thanks.

well. to be perfectly honest with you, these shaft are not going to help you lower your ball flight. the true temper s300's have a higher kick point the the
the rifle shafts, although, not much, which usually means, lower ball flight.
both type of shafts are very good shafts and will perform very well and the stiffness of the shaft should suit you fine. i personally prefer the rifle.
if you're pulling the ball and have a high ball flight, it's not likely the stick. have a pro take a look at your swing, it may just be a minor adjustment. good luck with your new irons, what did you get?

Thanks for the reply. I guess I was under the assumption that the tour flighted rifles would help keep my shorter irons down due to the progressive kickpoint. So the s300's still have a higher kickpoint, in say a 9 iron, than do the rifles?

The irons are the oxygen type R, which are a blade based on the S59's.

Good advise on seeing a pro. I keep feeling like I am dropping my right shoulder (RH swing) at the point of contact, and thus putting to much weight on my right foot.

getting your shoulder down through the ball is good, but it will give you higher ball flight. if you ever whatch the pro's on tv, you'll see that most of them get their right shoulder down thru the ball very well and as previously said on this forun, the pros ball flight is quite high. being back on your riight foot is not good.
iv'e found that the ball flight in the rifles is fairly close to the tt, maybe just a touch higher.

Well, I cancelled my order for the oxygen type r irons, because the company will not reply to my e-mails and, according to their website, has not even processed the order. They should have been delivered two days ago. Oh well, "one door closes, another one opens", I went in to the local golf shop today and they were running a sale on a new set of Ping s59's. So I picked them up instead.

My question is whether or not I should re-shaft them with the rifles and get them spine aligned. The shafts that came with are the Z-Z65's. I only swung the 6 iron, but I was really happy with the trajectory. My only concern is whether it would be worth getting a set of shafts that are spined and frequency matched. Do you guys think it is worth it?

By the way, Michael, I think my major problem has been releasing my wrists to early. Last week, in the league, I tried holding off on my release till later, and my consistancy was a lot better.

This might help in your shaft decision.
