Stiffer shaft or larger grip to fight hook?

I just reshafted my CPR hybrid to match what was in my irons : DG R300.
Now all I seem to hit with it is a low, hard hook. (I hit my irons straight for the most part).

I'd rather not spend more money to reshaft unless I really have to, so will a larger grip slow the hook down?

^^^ i think the reshafting will guarantee a fix, but just slowing your swing down might help a little, the larger grip will have a small effect IMO

That seems a little odd seeing as your irons are ok. Its probably really simple. Do you do anything different with the cpr ie. swing a little harder, faster? change ball position? Is the grip straight and same size as the irons?

I would check all of your set up (grip, alignment etc) with the cpr and as mentioned above, maybe swing a little easier. I wouldnt reshaft just yet.

I had a pushing issue with my driver and some irons at the weekend and only realised after I had played, that I was gripping the club with a slightly weak left hand Just wish I had noticed at the beginning of the round.

I agree do what Stuart says and if that does not work change the staft to a stiffer one.

Wicked good idea Stuart! Now I notice that the ball position is much farther forward, which may be loading the shaft funky. next time out I'll move it a little closer to center. Thanks!
