Putter head/shaft question

I recently bought a pure balance putter head from Golf smith as well as a long shaft. The only problem is that the hole and the shaft tip are the same size (.370). Is it better to bore out the hole on the head or shave down the tip diameter a bit? I am guessing the shaft tip. Or is it better to just go to the local shop and get a long shaft to fit the head. Thanks in advance!

The shaft needs to be prepped. In roughing up the shaft for the epoxy application, it is more than likely that after you perform this step, the shaft will fit properly.

Cool

It's not unusual for a steel shaft to be a little too big to fit the hosel. It's because the chrome plating is a bit too thick. Just prep the tip and it should fit okay. I've had the same problem with a few sets of irons I've built with Rifle shafts, the chrome was just too thick.

The Putter came out great if I do say so myself! I followed the advice to prep the shaft a bit. Although it took a bit of file work it wasnt hard at all. I can see how this club building can get addicting!
