Can Durometers be bent?

I was looking into a set of new wedges for next year (52, 56, 60). I've been reading a lot of good things about the SMT Durometer wedges. However, they only come in odd-numbered lofts. Has anyone had theirs bent? I'd prefer the lofts to sync up with the lofts for my Innovex irons and PW (4 degree spacing in higher lofted clubs).

Cool

Most any iron can be bent a few degrees, so I see no problem bending say a 51* wedge to 52*. Just to be safe, you might want to contact SMT directly and ask them about it. Never hurts to be safe.

I did submit a form on the SMT site with the question. I was just curious if anyone had had it done, since the Durometers seem pretty popular here.

Cool

I just noticed you live in Oneonta, my sister went to the state university in Oneonta back in the early 60's. I used to do some woodchuck hunting up near Bath N.Y. back the the late 60's. Nothing better than upstate NY in the fall. The winters you can keep. After 2 years in Buffalo, I've had enough of the east coast in the winter. Have a nice weekend.

Agreed, and agreed. I'm not a big fan of winter, but the fall colors here are amazing. A friend of mine lives in Buffalo, and they just got hammered a few weeks ago.
Enjoy your weekend as well.

My friend didn't appreciate when I told him to look on the bright side, Buffalo got an early jump on winning the Golden Snowball.

No problem. I have bent Durometers up to 5 degrees.

Also, you might want to hit them as 51, 55, 59 before ajusting. They play weak.
